Photography documenting Tbilisi's distinctive residential courtyards, particularly the famous "Italian yards" (italianuri ezo)—semi-public courtyard spaces surrounded by multi-story residential buildings with wooden galleries, balconies, and external staircases. These intimate urban spaces represent unique Georgian-Italian architectural fusion and preserve communal living traditions. Many courtyards captured here have since been demolished or drastically altered, making this documentation irreplaceable.
