David Kakabadze (1889–1952) was a Georgian artist, photographer, and innovator. Alongside his major contributions to modern Georgian art, he maintained a lifelong engagement with photography, beginning during his years at the Kutaisi Gymnasium. His photographic work includes portraits, group scenes, ethnographic subjects, and architectural monuments from various regions of Georgia. Kakabadze also developed an original stereoscopic cinema system, reflecting his broader interest in visual experimentation and technology.
