This photograph shows the railway station in Tiflis (modern Tbilisi) with the busy station square filled with numerous horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians. The image documents the role of the railway as a major transportation hub in the city during the late nineteenth century.

The photograph is attributed to David Korganov, one of the founders and chairman of the Tiflis Society of Amateur Photographers. His work documented important urban spaces, architecture, and everyday life in Tiflis.
